State of the art doesn't begin to describe this exceptional home. Both the foundation and entire first floor are protected from the weather by an ICF (isulated concrete forms) wall system that has virtually no air infiltration and 6" of reinforced concrete above grade should calm even the most rambunctious weather. A master suite for the ages and two additional bedrooms served by a private bath compliment over 2000 sq ft of entertaning space. Every detail of this custom home was worked out with the home owner, just as yours can be.
This house was designed to reflect the gracefulness of a Victorian home while using a geothermal heating system and a pressure treated wood foundation to create a 24X40 familyroom in the basement with only one post. Other features include an open two story entry and livingroom separated by the stairs and a bridge to a bedroom for privacy.
Home Base
This 1860's farm house was completely renovated in 1974. Taking an existing structure and bringing it into the 21st century requires a knowledge of how the house was built and what can be moved to improve the usefulness of the square footage. There is no reason to struggle with small rooms from the past that no longer serve their purpose. All houses can be made into your dream home, either in their original foot print or by installing a tasteful addition as seen below.
Some times a new home is the correct solution. This five bedroom 2100 sq ft two story was built on
a budget when Grandma needed to move closer to the family. Their orignial three bedroom house next door no longer
fit their needs but was great for grandma and her grandchildren got spoiled full time. Life is all about family and we
hope to help find the creative and correct solution for your housing needs.
A small Cape Cod with a big front elevation, this home has been expanded into a dream come true. Four bedrooms, four garage spaces, three full baths and a half bath in the basement near the family room, this is how proper planning early on can allow a home to expand when the time is right. You don't have to move to have it all, you just have to start off with the right plan and the right contractor.
This was a 24 x 36 two story starter home with a traditional feel. Three bedrooms and two & 1/2 baths provided privacy while a formal dining room and open foyer into the living room provided an excellent area to entertain. A warm open kitchen with an eating peninsula and separate food prep island welcomes the kids home from school. A maintenence free exterior and integral garage make this a home for a lifetime.
This 1950's ranch had the dream location, but couldn't keep up with a growing famiies needs. A second floor addition, while the home was occupied, was the right solution. Now this family can stay where they grew up for the long term.
